                                  OUR MISSION STATEMENT:

 

Y.A.B. Academy (You. Are. Brilliant) is a program aimed at helping young women achieve more than they could have ever imagined. Our goal is to provide them with the resources they need to be prepared for the future as well as the motivation and confidence they need to succeed. This program is also a tutoring/mentoring christian organization in which Godly principles are taught to give them power to navigate through their way through the many temptations out there. Along with christian principles the students enrolled will receive help with writing papers, Resume writing, learning how to use computer programs such as excel, choosing a career, mock interviews, learning how to present themselves, and much more.

I am Bold, I am Bright, I am Beautiful. I CAN do ANYTHING, “I CAN'T” DOES NOT exist in my world. God made me this way and I WILL NOT FAIL. I pledge to RESPECT and ENCOURAGE myself and others and give 100% in EVERYTHING I do. I AM BRILLIANT and so are YOU!!

Message:  "It isn't hard to be a Christian and you CAN have fun. You don't have to do what everyone else is doing. For a long time my father used to say, "It's hip to be square." I didn't think that was true at all until I grew up and saw where everyone else I grew up with ended up. There are so many messages being sent to young girls today. Mostly messages glorifying premarital sex and permiscuality. If the girls of Y.A.B. learn anything I hope that it would be this, that you don't have to be what the world wants you to be or do what the world wants you to do. If you stay on course and keep God first he will direct your path and lead you to places in life that you never thought you could go."

                                            

 

 

Bio:  Yasmine is the daughter of Senior Pastor Vincent and First Lady Gayle Calimee. She is currently attending Lewis University pursuing a double major in Elementry Education and Psychology. Along with her full time role as the president of Y. A. B. Academy she is also the head of the Youth Department and Praise Team. She is currently on the Lewis University Dean's List and holds a 4.0 gpa.
